Following the recent club championship which finished in July all our members are now playing for the Braes Silver Tray. It is a singles event played on handicap and as several of our newer members are competing in this they have started off on a high handicap. This is helping them keep up with all the other players and making a lot of good competitive games for all.
All our members who have entered in this event will be playing each other so we can expect a lot of close scores when completed.
Those of us who travel to other clubs for their annual carnivals have already began with Port Maquarie already played and Orange and Albury to be held in September, with more up until Christmas.
We all look forward to these events as there is always a lot of competition and great friendship.
Croquet Australia will be holding the annual National Championships at Deniliquin again this year in November.
We are looking forward to our Annual Spring Carnival to be held in October and nominations are already being received.
Our club social days are being well attended and it is great to see the newer players still being helped along the way.
