“To say I'm devastated is an understatement,” she said in regards to the destruction of a property that is currently in the early stages of being restored along Whiteman Avenue.
The building in question is the old Cob and Co house near Blackguard Gully where signs, fences and framework were wantonly destroyed.
“Who ever you are, do you realise your senselessly destroying Young's history dating back as far as 1861 in the Gold rush days?” Mrs Hardy asked.
“Have you no worth or morals?”
Police at the Young Police Station have said that the incident occurred sometime between 6.30 pm on Saturday night and 6.30 am on Sunday morning.
They are asking anyone with any information to please contact them at Young Police Station on 02 6382 8199.
