Club Triples Entries
Entries are now open for the Young Women’s Bowling Club Club Triples.
Clubs Supporting Clubs
Willow Tree Women’s Bowling Club (near Tamworth) has had a bad time of it.
Their Clubhouse burnt down and all their records, boards and memorabilia has gone.
Women’s Bowls NSW donated a Rep Shirt with some important signatures on it to raffle to raise funds to rebuild the club.
Tickets are only $1 each.
Important game for Young Bowling Club
Zone 8 vs ACT at Young Bowling Club, 1 pm Saturday August 12 and 9 am Sunday August 13.
See State Australian Reps battle it out against Zone 8 players.
Come along and give your support to David Quigley, Damien Miller and Russell Boyd from Young.
These games will be well worth watching.
Apology
Last week I wrote that Yvonne Murphy was retiring from her position as Secretary of South West District.
I wish to retract that statement.
Yvonne is not retiring, Yvonne is a valued member of the South West District Committee and her knowledge of the game of Bowls is invaluable.
We hope the Club and District has her support for many years to come.
Women’s State pennants play-off
All the best to the Young Grade 3 Pennant side who will be competing at Bateau Bay on the Central Coast next week.
The side of Judith Mulligan, Heather Bailey, Margaret Glasheen and Margaret Gailey as well as Therese Ruhl, Mary Bennett, Kate Cooper and Elsie Hines will play Quirindi, Warilla and Killara/Lindfield.
It would be great if they can bring home the flag.
