On Friday September 1 the Young and District Netball Association Inc. held their annual representative presentation evening for 2017. The night was well represented with 75 attending and special guests Susan Pettit, YDNA life member and patron Daphny Krebs, a YDNA founder and patron Nancy McGregor and Glenn Pearson who was there to present the Viv Pearson Junior Sportsperson Encouragement Memorial Award.

Open’s representative team: Player’s Player – Melissa Anderson. Coaches Award – Roshan Smith.
Under 15s Representative team: Most Valued Player – Bridie Minehan. Coaches Award – Brodie Patterson.
Under 12s Carnival team: Coaches Award – Kate Richard. Most Improved: Emily Pratt.

The Young and District Netball Association recently held its Family Netball4All Day which was a huge success. The morning was started off with a Susan Pettit Clinics. The 6-10 year old’s had an absolute ball. The 11+ year old’s had their skills put to the test and gave it everything they had and then some with smiles all round. On the oval there was jumping castles, archery tag, dartball, sumo suits and nerf guns and heaps more activities. Nancy McGregor and Daphny Krebs were there to support and encourage with children of all ages loving the event. Thank you to all that made the day a successful one.
The Spring Competition started on Monday September 11. If you are yet to put in a team please do so via email to youngnetball@watexptyltd.com.au or you can call in at the clubroom on Monday night. Late nominations will be accepted. Seniors, Mixed and Fast Five teams still looking for players and teams.
Juniors – put your names down or put in a team (competition commences on Monday September 18)
Net Set Go – Put your name down for skills sessions then you will be placed in a team for a game. (competition commences on Monday September 18)
