The Young North Public School student has signed up to raise funds for the World’s Greatest Shave, with her not only going under the clippers next month but also donating her gorgeous blonde locks to be turned into wigs for cancer patients.
The last time that Beth had her hair cut was when she was in Year 2 and with the swim season fast approaching her parents were discussing the need for a haircut, Beth’s father suggested she shave her head.
When asked what her friends thought about the idea Beth said, “some of them don’t mind, but other’s are like ‘no!’”
On October 20 Beth’s hair will be cut with the pony tail to be donated to be turned into a wig with the remainder of Beth’s hair to be shaved.
Beth is already $346 into her goal of raising $560 by the big day. To donate go to https://secure.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/registrant/FundraisingPage.aspx?eventId=14158®istrationId=688538.
