Raymond Talimalie of Young was refused bail in Young Local Court yesterday afternoon and his younger brother Anzac Leavai was granted bail for their alleged involvement in an assault and brawl on October 1.

The brothers were refused bail by Young police before they appeared in Young Local Court on Wednesday afternoon where Raymond was formally refused bail before being taken into custody, he will reappear in Young Local Court via Audio-Visual-Link on October 17, 2017. Anzac was granted bail and will reappear in Young Local Court on October 17, 2017.
Detectives arrested the 18 and 23-year-old men on Wednesday afternoon.
Police claim the pair was involved in the assault of a local man and a brawl that occurred at the intersection of Main and Boorowa Streets in Young about 11.30pm on the Sunday night of the long weekend.
Both men have been charged with a number of offences including Recklessly Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm, Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm in Company, Assault and Affray.
According to police there were a number of different victims from the alleged incident, with the most seriously injured being airlifted to St George Hospital where he underwent surgery.
