In 2016 the appeal raised more than $1.2 million and helped support 45,000 Australian families some of those in Young.
Local Uniting Care coordinator, Bob Lloyd said this year has been really tough for families facing issues of unemployment and increasing living costs.
“We really do rely on the generous people in our community to dig deep, show some compassion and support our appeal this Christmas,” he said.
“It is easy to contribute to this appeal, you just simply purchase an Appeal bauble for $1, or you can give an unwrapped gift to the Target store for them to put under the tree.”
Young Target Country Manager Abbey Noakes said the appeal supports those in our community who need it most at a very difficult time of the year.
