The weather on Saturday disrupted a number of events planned by the Cherry Festival and also saw the golfing event washed out with the course very wet.

Cherry Festival Cup
The orgnisers of the special Cherry Festival Cup Two person Open Ambrose decided to move this event to this Sunday December 10.
There are some very good prizes including Christmas hams and puddings plus substantial vouchers for the main event up for grabs with all funds raised going to the Young Prostate Cancer Support Group.
The event is sponsored by Allied Grain Systems and is open to all players who were booked in.
Players are asked to please reconfirm your participation with the Pro-shop.
The entry fee is $25.00 per player which includes a barbecue lunch.
The event is a shotgun start from 11.00am.
As we all know cancer can strike at any time and shows no mercy.
Scott Fuller event
The Scott Fuller event at Gundagai a couple of weeks ago was not very successful.
We had nine pairs from Young go over and we share our thanks to those players.
We have to have a minimum number of pairs (nine) or we would be penalised.
The second round is scheduled for Young on Sunday January 21 so hopefully we can muster a better field.
Try to keep that day in mind.
Remember this is a medley event so the ladies are most welcome to play.
Norman Crawford matchplay
Congratulations to James French who defeated Steve Winterton in the final of the Norman Crawford.
Thanks also to the players who participated in the matchplay series.
Special Thanks
Special thanks to all who helped in many ways with the Veterans week of golf.
According to reports it was most successful.
