But, the Combined Churches of Young are holding the Annual Community Christmas Luncheon at Hennessy Catholic College, so no one needs to be alone this Christmas.
The Christmas luncheon is run by volunteers who wanted to show love to those people in our community who are less fortunate and may be alone, unwell or grieving at Christmas time.
Chairperson Darrin Bear said the lunch is free and starts at 11.30 on Christmas Day. “Entry is through the Dundas Street gates and community transport is available if anyone needs to be picked up,” he said. “We ask that you book at St Vincent de Paul Op shop by Monday December 18 to assist catering (or Phone 63829410). Organisers will also welcome people on the day and encourage people to come along and enjoy fellowship, meet new friends and share a delicious meal.”
