Also sporting a new name to go along with its date change the Young Pro Rodeo will be held on Saturday December 30 at the Toompang Racecourse.
The rodeo is still expected to see some of the best bull riders, team ropers, steer wrestlers and bronc riders from across the state compete for honours with the event sanctioned by the Australian Professional Rodeo Association (APRA).
The Young Equine and Livestock Centre will be hosting three rough stock events with the saddle bronc, bareback bronc and bull ride divisions as well as five timed events with the rope and tie, steer wrestling, team roping, ladies barrel race and ladies breakaway roping.
The organisers thanked its sponsors on their Facebook page last week for their continued support.
“Thanks to all our very patient and understanding sponsors - without you none of this would be possible.”
Entries for the event will be available through APRA on December 12, 13 and 14 by calling central entries on (07) 4661 4766.
Gates for the event will be opened from 12pm with tickets available at the gate for adults ($20), children ($10) as well as family passes ($50). The event will be cash only, no EFTPOS.
