Max Cooke and Stewart Taylor won their Thursday afternoon game against a field of 22 players by 17 shots to claim the vouchers for the afternoon. Perhaps they were aided by the wrong bias of one of their opponents.

The final rounds in the Guy Pickering Charity Challenge were played during the week.
On Tuesday night the T’s Rule team were the winners on a count–back.
They scored 13 points and on the night five of the six winning teams scored 13 points so it really was a multiple count–back.
The overall winners for the Tuesday night division were Fridays with RLOB Tigers in second place.
Fundernuts scored 15 points on Thursday night to record the best score for the evening.
That was not enough to displace FATBBOTS from the top position in their division.
The final between Fridays and FATBBOTS is scheduled for Thursday night.
Other players who have participated in the Challenge are welcome to come along and play on Thursday night.
Saturday’s play consisted of mixed bowls (there were a couple of games involving only men due to the number of entrants). The only players not to enjoy the afternoon were probably in the team that lost their game by 18 shots.
Prizes for the afternoon came from Poppa’s Fudge Factory and were allocated by random draw.
On Saturday evening the club held its annual Presentation Night where trophies were presented to the winners and runners–up for Club Championships.
It was pleasing to see a number of players who were not receiving trophies there to support those who were.
The evening started with a very nice dinner followed by the presentations and then there was entertainment provided by Lock, Stock and Bingle.
Thank to the organisers and to those members of the club who attended.
There were 10 players for Sunday morning bowls.
The winning team (on a count–back) consisted of Alan Cooke, Greg Hennock and Joe Hennock with a score of 13 points.
Play this week will follow the usual program.
