Kindergarten teacher Siobhan Roberts said the play was a non-traditional story of the Nativity.
"It follows the ancient Magi, played by Max Aiken, Harry Robinson, Zander Ashton and Lucy McAllister in their quest to find baby Jesus," she said.
"They come across a villain in the form of King Herod, played by the talented young Eli Terry. Eventually, they find the promised baby King in the stable with Mary and Joseph portrayed by Ivy Murphy and Liam Shannon. They then must found out what to do next.
"We are so proud of the Kindergarten students, they have risen to the occasion and taken each of their roles seriously. It is just beautiful to see each and every student shine and enjoy being on the stage"
Mrs Roberts said each child was a part of the play from its earliest inception to the final show.
"They loved getting dressed up and being part of such magical production," she said. "The Nativity is such a special story and the children loved sharing this with the local community."
School principal Louise Grant said it is a long held tradition at St Mary’s for the Kindergarten children to present the nativity play at Christmas each year to celebrate Jesus’ birth.
“The children brought much joy to the school community and they along with the Kindy teachers are to be congratulated on achieving such excellence,” she said.
