The event this year is being held at Carrington Park.
This year the event kicks off at 6pm with plenty on offer to keep the entire family entertained including face painting, parachute games, a giant tetras, ball games, music and a BBQ to feed the hungry crowd.
Once it’s dark - the school of music band and a combined churches choir will lead everyone in singing well known Christmas carols.
Carols by Candlelight organiser Susan Ravenhall said the evening is open to everyone.
“This event has been running for as long as I can remember and it is always an enjoyable evening,” she said. “The carols have become a tradition in this town and it is always lovely to see people gathered showing good will to all.
“It’s a special night when children and adults alike join together and sing at the top of their lungs.”
