Choir Publicity Officer Helen Bruce said 2017 was a great year and 2018 is looking even better.
"What a year 2017 was," she said. The Hilltops Choir formed in January, we built a repertoire with some challenging pieces, and we performed on six occasions in Young and surrounding districts.
Mrs Bruce said musical director Rodney Clancy, with the assistance of our accompanist Stewart Bruce encouraged, guided and polished the choir's performances with an artistic flare.
"In 2018, thanks to a generous grant from the Hilltops Council, we will perform three choruses from the Messiah (by Handel) at an Easter Concert Sunday Afternoon, March 18, from 3 pm at St John’s Anglican Church, Young," she said.
"Anyone who would like to sing with us on this occasion is very welcome. It will require a one term fees commitment. We rehearse in the Young Uniting Church Hall on Monday nights, 7.30-9.30 pm.”
“If you love to share the joy of singing, don’t be shy! Come and join us."
New members are always welcome. For further enquiries, please contact Tracey Clark (secretary) on 0418 672 622.
