Jackpot Bowls
There were much cooler conditions on Saturday and despite the early rain there were 22 players involved in Jackpot bowls.
There was a wide range of winning margins with Justin Nowlan and Kevin Porter taking out the vouchers with the very big margin of 24 shots.
Other winning teams were Bill Maloney and Dave Ward (2), Les Fanning and Geoff Holt (2), Michael Webb and Alan Gall (5) and Max Penfold, Darryle Miller and Tom Preston (14).
Sunday Morning Bowls
Sunday morning saw 16 players involved.
Alan Fortune, Greg Hennock and Mark Brownlie scored 13 points with Don Close and Grant Fuller was just behind them with 12 points.
Thursday afternoon bowls
The hot conditions on Thursday did not deter the regular starters and there was a very good attendance of 32 players.
The vouchers for the afternoon went to Aldo Malvicino, Terry Holmes and Colin Stokell who won their game by nine shots.
Club singles championships
Players are advised that there is information on the notice board concerning the Club Singles Championship with entries closing on February 5.
District Four Championships
Entries for the District Fours Championship close on January 31.
Australia Day is on Friday January 26 and the details concerning bowls on that day are on display.
Regular bowls
The regular bowls events on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday will be held again this week.
Guy Pickering Challenge
Play in the next Guy Pickering Charity Challenge will commence on Tuesday January 30 and Thursday February 1.

Sympathy extended to families
On behalf of our members sympathy is extended to the families of Barry Close and Ken Goodall who both passed away last week.
