Preliminary Horse of the Year
Winner – Call Me Cooper and Debbie Blaxland, Runner up – Foxground Kathago Lot Z and Megan Bryant.
Novice Horse of the Year
Winner – Hollands Bend Highlander and Jodie Dunstan, Runner up – Cooramin Riviera and Megan Bryant.
Elementary Horse of the Year
Winner – Furst Dance and Megan Bryant, Runner up – Fleur De Lee and Jana Poppe.
Medium Horse of the Year
Winner – Daisy A Day and Laura Delamont, Runner up – Remarkable and Karen Skimmings, Runner up – Demartini and Anita Doswell.
Advanced Horse of the Year
Winner – Vancouver Gifted Girl and Sue Robbins, Runner up – Remarkable and Karen Skimmings.
FEI Horse of the Year
Winner – Cavaliere Zippo and Katharine Dennis, Runner up – Mr Jackson and Megan Bryant.
Pony of the Year
Winner – Mystic Shadows Cinderella and Jan Smith, Runner up – Stockleigh Flaunt It and Maree Cooper.
Junior Rider of the Year
Winner – Emily van der Struik and Rivington Tiger Tim, Runner up – Rianna Reeves and Grenwood Lulu.
Young Rider of the Year
Winner – Annabelle Reynolds and Call Me Casper, Runner up – Paige Simms and Of Paws I Came.
Closed Restricted Horse of the Year
Winner – Pilgrim Whisper and Maryann Schiller, Runner up – CP Queen of Hearts and Alison Dowton.
Young Dressage Association will be presenting award winners on Saturday February 17 with a presentation night. The club invites everyone to attend with dinner available during the evening.
A reminder to all riders that Young Dressage Association’s first competition for the year will be held on Sunday February 18 with entries open until Wednesday January 31.
Participants can enter through the nominate website found on the Young Dressage Association website at www.youngdressage.com.
Anyone who hasn’t renewed their membership can now do so via the website where information on joining and upcoming events are also available.
The 2018 Young Dressage Association Championships will be held over the weekend of April 20-22. Hundreds of horses and riders from across the region and country will take part in the weekend of top notch competition. The Young Dressage Association asks any local businesses or individuals interested in sponsoring the event to get in touch with them to receive a copy of the association’s sponsorship proposal.
