The loyal Saints and Australian Football advocate was also appointed as club president.

Mr Harmer's first point of business as president was to call for club sponsors.

“The Saints are calling on any business or individuals who may be interested in being a club sponsor to contact the club and have a chat about a mutually beneficial arrangement,” he said.

Mr Harmer said preseason training would begin on Tuesday, February 30 from 6pm at Burrangong Oval. 

“Anyone who is interested in senior men's and or open women's (15 years and over) and juniors between the ages of 11 and 16 we’d love to hear from you,” he said.

Coach Harmer said the senior men’s team would need some more experienced players this season to complement the young list that has already committed to the 2018 season.

“I am looking to build a team; there is no elevator to success you have to use the stairs,” he said.
