The Hilltops Community Hub has started a support group for Young grandparents who may have gone back to full-time parenting.

The group will discuss the joys and challenges of parenting grandchildren.
Hilltops Community Hub spokesperson Jenny Spring said the group would share ideas and resources, hear other stories and experiences and get to know others who are in a similar situation.
“As a grandparent going back to full-time parenting – regardless of the child’s age, you are in a situation you may not have expected to be in at this stage of your life,” she said.
“So we are encouraging grandparents to come to meet and join others in our community who are also doing this, you’ll find you are not alone. There is support; there is help; there is a broad community to be with you and your family as you grow together. The grandparent group would offer you understanding, friendship and shared knowledge and experiences.”
The next meeting of the group will be on Wednesday, February 21 at Wilders Bakery from 10.30am.
