Peter Watts defeated Rob Anderson 26–13.
Kevin Porter defeated Ron Rosengreen 18–15.
John Priestley defeated Cliff Traynor 18–17 on an extra end.
In the afternoon:
Kevin Breasley defeated Peter Watts 27–17.
James Maloney defeated Russell Boyd 19–18.
David Quigley defeated John Priestley 27–10.
Kevin Porter defeated David Ward 21–20.
The semi–finals and final of this event will be played on Saturday.
Jackpot bowls
A combination of the hot weather and so many players from the club involved in the Fours Championship saw just six players for Jackpot Bowls.
Michael Webb, Steve Barnes and Justin Nowlan won a closely contested game 30–23.
A successful Calcutta auction was held for the Club Singles following Saturday’s play. The club thanks everyone who was involved.
Sunday morning bowls
Twelve players were involved on Sunday morning with Alan Fortune and Andrew Hutchison the winners with 16 points.
Thursday afternoon bowls
Hot conditions on Thursday afternoon kept numbers down to 20 players. There was one big winning margin and that was for Chris Wright and Les Fanning who won their game by 26 shots – more than the total margins for the other four games.
The Guy Pickering Charity Challenge
The winners for Tuesday night’s play in the Guy Pickering Charity Challenge were Plumbers with a score of 17 points and just behind them on 16 points were the Tigers team.
A count-back was needed to separate Boof’s Heroes and Bowl Terras on Thursday night with Boof’s Heroes prevailing.
Stockinbingal President’s Day
Thanks to those players who attended Stockinbingal’s President’s Day on Sunday.
Jack Attack is back
Friday night will be the first night of play in the Jack Attack program.
Play will start at 7.30pm with teams of triples and the games will take approximately an hour to complete. Bowlers and non-bowlers are welcome to participate.
Club Singles championship
All players who entered the Club Singles should check the notice–board for details of Sunday’s first round games. All entrants will be either playing or marking in the morning or afternoon games.
One day triples event
Players should check the notice board for information concerning the one day triples event to be held on Sunday February 25.
