The popular ‘Take 5 on Fridays’ lunchtime concert series are back on the menu at the Young Library.

Library Manager Janice Ottey said the concerts provide a regular, easily accessible and free activity for all members of the community.

“Performances are presented from 12.30pm to 1pm and members of the public are invited to drop in and eat their lunch while they enjoy the music,” Ms Ottey said.

“The weekly concert series is a great fit for the library and we have been able to showcase some of the region’s best talents who have represented a variety of musical styles, instruments and demographics.

“We have had tremendous support from local performers, and the segment has found a loyal audience who have made the concerts a regular feature on their weekly calendars.

“The concept was introduced in July 2017 and after 22 back-to-back performances, the weekly concerts have been a popular lunchtime activity.”

This Friday from 12.30pm local performer James Cronin takes to the stage.
