Saturday morning’s semi–finals of this event saw two clear-cut wins when David Quigley’s team defeated James Maloney’s team 24–5 and Arthur Ward, Charles Willis, Rodney Crowe and Kevin Breasley (Cootamundra Country Club) defeated Kevin Porter’s team 26–9.
The final was a closely contested game with the scores level at 9–all after 10 ends and 14–all after 16 ends.
Five shots to David’s team on the 19th end proved decisive as this gave them a lead of 19-16 and with both teams scoring just one shot each on the final two ends they won 20–17.
Jackpot Bowls on Saturday saw 20 players taking part.
Tim Carpenter and Peter Slater won the vouchers with a margin of 23 shots.
Other winners were Brian March and Graeme Edgerton (17), Milan Brankovic, Steve Barnes and Colin Stokell (14) and Scott Douglas, Kevin Bryant and Denis Rosen (2).
The first–round games in the Club Singles have now been completed with one game on Friday afternoon and eight games on Sunday.

During the week play continued in the Guy Pickering Charity Challenge.
The winners for Tuesday night’s play were T’s Rule with a score of 14 points.
In the Thursday night division Rovers were the winners with 15 points.
Friday night was the first night of play in the Jack Attack program. Six teams competed and all appeared to enjoy themselves.
The competition will continue next week and teams that missed out on Friday night are welcome to come and compete.
