Her mother, father and two of her children attending her graduation.
Young resident Lucy Williams 21, graduated with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Canberra.
The former Hennessy Catholic College student is now studying a postgraduate education degree with the aim of becoming a physical education teacher.

“I bit the bullet and moved to Canberra after high school and I haven’t looked back. I’ve loved studying at the University of Canberra and I’m excited to complete this next chapter.”
Graduating with a double degree from the University of Canberra was “a really long time coming” for Young resident Jessica Emmett.
The 24-year-old graduated with a Bachelor of Sport Coaching and Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Sports Management.
“I feel like it gave me a really good head start into the workforce. It also led to a full-time job while I was studying,” she said.
“I was really interested in the sports degrees and the University of Canberra seemed like a logical choice. It’s close to home and they have a really good Faculty of Health – their reputation precedes them.
“These two degrees covered a lot of bases in the business management side as well as sport and exercise science, so I got a broad range of knowledge and I thought it was applicable to a lot of different areas."
