Winning with 40 points was Peter Frecklington. Nearest the pin for the ladies to Maree Marland with 100 cm on the seventh.
Nearest the pin for the other standard gender went to Peter with 945 cm on the eighth.
Gobbles to Maree on three and eighteen, and to George Gerrard on the ninth. Birdie to Peter on the Betty Freck birdie hole, the eighteenth.
Curiously, the long term average maximum average temperature for April is 22.7 degrees, but so far in April 2018, it is 28.6 degrees. Yes, 5.9 degrees above average, with a week to go to haul it back a bit. More curiously, no birdies were recorded on the seventh.
Next Saturday will be a single Stableford event hitting off at 10am. The club will be holding the annual general meeting at 9am at the clubhouse.
All welcome at the club. The Clover Leigh Golf Club sits in a rural setting with bush and grazing countryside all around. It is very quiet and kangaroos wander onto the course in the evening.
