This coming Saturday the single event will be sponsored by Twomeys.
The following weekend (the first weekend in May) we are holding the Men’s Open Tournament with new sponsors hopefully confirmed this week.
Thanks to the South West Golf Association we will have special trophies for visitors and juniors.
Additionally this is the first round of the South West Cup event which has been introduced to encourage players to visit other clubs for their open tournaments.
Players should be aware that the gully across the 10th fairway has been peg as GUR. Please be aware of your rights and wrongs if you ball goes in the pegged area.
Further all players are asked not to drive their golf carts through the gully but use the bridges. Not a good spot to be bogged.
The white pegs indicating the GUR are immovable obstructions. Don't pull them out. If the peg interferes with your swing or stance you may take relief without penalty. The ball must be dropped nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole and within one club length of the spot from where it was lifted. The ball may be cleaned.
If you want to have a hit during the week grab a mate and play in the nine hole comp Sunday thru to Friday. Play as many times as you like.
