Despite the loss there were many positives to come out of the game with plans for the team to work on the negatives at training.
Taking on Gundagai next week at home will be tough for the Reggies, but the boys are looking forward to it and certainly up for the challenge.
Cherryettes: The Cherryettes went down to their Temora counterparts 24-8 after some bad defensive reads.
A few dropped balls in the Cherryette’s end saw the game Temora’s to win.
“We looked good in the first part of the game,” coach Saul Lealaitafea said. “It just went away from the game plan.”
Next week the ladies will take on Gundagai.
Under 18s: Taking on Temora the boys managed to come home with the win despite some scrappy play towards the end of the game.
Despite the loss of a player or two to the sin bin the match was fast and furious and the boys came out in front with the final score 44-16.
Two tries to Nick Hall and Tom Jenkins each and one to Tom Reynolds, Jader Cutting, James Ferguson, Steve Anderson and Will Hill as well as six conversions to Jaboe Lucas solidified the game for the boys.
Jack Corbett was awarded the best player on the field.
The boys will take on Gundagai this weekend.
Under 16s: The Under 16s faced off against Temora last weekend taking out the game 48-12.
In hot conditions the boys managed to lock up the game in the second half after a slow start and Temora scoring two easy tried.
“The boys reacted well to what Richo and I asked of them at half-time,” manager Will Scott said. “(They) still stuck to good shape even when we started to run away with the win.”
The boys now have two weeks off and plenty to work on in the break.
Man of the match went to Sid Sell while Caleb Coomes and Harry Fitzpatrick were named player’s player.
