Holiday Traffic
Visitor Centres at Young and Boorowa have welcomed school holiday makers in recent weeks: parents and grandparents on the move, taking advantage of the vacation to build family relationships and enjoy some sightseeing.
Country Music
An afternoon of country music organised by the Cherry Capital Country Music Association at Young Services Club will be held on Sunday. Activities commence at 12 noon and cost is $5 for those over 18 years and free for those under. Gold coin donation entry, while walk up artists are welcome with a backing band available.
Mad Hatters Tea Party
Remember to support the Bribbaree craft group raising funds for CanAssist and Macey Yerbury this Saturday with a Mad Hatters Tea Party. Activities start at 11am and there will be high tea, craft competitions and loads of fun for all.
Bush Poets
Settling into a new location in a new centre, Bush Poets group invite one and all to their gig at Young Hotel from 1.30pm to 4pm on Sunday. The new location is attracting some new talent and new faces in the audience. Everyone is welcome to take part.
Heritage Cars
Around 100 to150 car owners from the south west and further afield are expected for the fourth Young Heritage Motor Club Car Muster at the PCYC car park in Lachlan Street on Sunday from 9am. There’s prizes for car owners, and people’s choice winners too.
Looking Ahead
Activities in many Hilltops centres continue throughout May with a tantalising snapshot of events including The Boorowa Picnic Races, perfect puff pastry making at Jugiong and Harden’s Murrumburrah Makers Market.
