On April 21 and 22 Bribbaree pony Club held its annual major fundraiser Team Yarding weekend with the weekend being another massive success.
It was a massive weekend with six events in total being run over the two days.
There were three open events and three junior events with a total of 496 runs completed over the weekend.
Horses and riders travelled from across the state to compete with the weekend a great opportunity to score up to three lots of points to go towards their end of year score for those who are members of NSW Team Yarders.
The club also held campdrafting practice runs for people to fine tune their drafting skills.
“Its a massive weekend with the Bribbaree Pony Club Commitee working tirelessly over the weekend, as well as long before the weekend was held,” Bribbaree Pony Club’s Cindy James said.
Members of the Bribbaree Pony Club chipped in over the weekend to ensure the competitors and spectators had a fun filled weekend.
“Bribbaree Pony Club would like to thank our major sponsor, Thompson’s Rural Supplies, as well as Moggas Marquee and party hire, the Hannaford family for the use of their cattle and all the volunteers that helped make this weekend as successful as it was,” Cindy said.
“Congratulations to all the winners, both junior and senior! We hope to see you all again next year.”
NSW Team Yarders was formed in 2004 to assist small rural Show Societies financially, and has now grown to become an excellent ‘fundraiser’ for many organisations in Southern NSW.
The NSW Team Yarders currently run approximately 20 affiliated events each year, points are accumulated and result in an invitation of the top 50 open teams and 20 junior teams to attend the finals in October each year.
Bribbaree Pony Club’s next training weekend will be held on June 2 and 3.
