Local Dance Stars
Tickets go on sale at Young Services Club on Monday for the Stars of Young: Dance for Cancer event which will be staged on June 22. This activity is run instead of Relay for Life. Cindy James, Renee McGovern, Kim Goonan, David Hall, Emma Wark, Jacqui & Peter Spring, Addy Nuthall and Cam Rosser will perform with local dance trainers Leanne Simms and Lloyd Keenan.
Travelling Author
Author Noel Braun who will talk at the three Hilltops region libraries is 84 years old and last year completed his fifth major trek. He has walked four of the most popular routes of the Camino de Santiago, a spiritual and emotional journey started after the suicide of his wife, Maris. Author of “The Day Was Made for Walking and “I Guess I’ll Just Keep on Walking”, Noel will be at all three Hilltops libraries over the two days of June 19 and 20. Long Weekend Attractions
If you are expecting guests for the June holiday long weekend there will be plenty of activities to entertain. The Wombat Swap Meet and Show and Shine at Wagenbah Oval will be held over the Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 5pm both days. This is a Wombat Progress Association/Wombat Hotel Social Group activity with funds to go to charity.
Iandra Castle will also open from 10am to 4pm on that Sunday.
The Region’s usual stand out attractions will also be available to enjoy.

The guide has wide exposure, with copies distributed in Sydney, Canberra and NSW visitor centres, Hilltops travellers and all residents. Saturday May 26 – Young Society of Artist’s Annual Blokes Exhibition featuring male only exhibitors. Opening 11am, all welcome. Ted Webber to perform opening ceremony. The exhibition will then be on show seven days until June 30.
