The presentation is part of Young District Landcare’s innovative Microbats of the Young District project and will be held in the Gleneagles Room at the Young Golf Club.
Supported by Local Land Services and funded by the National Landcare Program, the project is now into its fifth year and continues to raise community awareness of microbats and their important environmental role.
Studies conducted in recent years have found that microbats play an important role as natural biological controllers of insects in agricultural landscapes.
Canberra bat expert Michael Pennay is the guest presenter.
This is a free event with morning tea and lunch provided. Please RSVP by Thursday June 21 to Mikla Lewis on 0499 199 016 or email young@lachlandcare.org.au.
