On Sunday the pennant team travelled to Boorowa to play Binalong in what non-golfing folk would call atrocious conditions. With a maximum temperature of seven degrees, showers on and off all day and a non-sweet westerly wind, the matchplay and stableford competitions were endured.
Including earlier rounds at Bigga and Clover Leigh, the stableford standings are now 69 points for Boorowa, 43 for Binalong, 31 for Clover Leigh and 30 for Bigga golf club.
The matchplay results for the day at Boorowa were 5 matches to Boorowa over Bigga, and 3.5 matches to Binalong over 1.5 to Clover Leigh. This puts the matchplay tally at Boorowa on 20, Binalong on 18, Clover Leigh on 14 and Bigga on 8 points.
In two weeks for the final Rounds are Binalong and Boorowa for first and second standing, and Bigga and Clover Leigh for the wooden spoon. This will be played at Binalong July 1. Next Saturday will be a single Stableford event hitting off at 10am.
