Writers wanting to unlock their potential are invited to take part in a workshop to be held at Young in August. Lambing Flat Branch of the Fellowship of Australian Writers will host a writing workshop suitable for anyone who wants to write, regardless of whether they have taken the first step. The workshop will be facilitated by Kathryn Coughran, a former resident of Young. Enquiries and bookings at Young Library 6382 1886.

Bush Poets
The Bush Poets return to the Young Hotel on Sunday for an afternoon of shared entertainment. New performers and new audience members are welcome. The Bush Poets, who have met at Wombat over many years, look forward to many people dropping in between 1.30pm and 4pm on Sunday.
Boorowa Event
Men in the Hilltops region need to secure their place for the Boorowa Blokes event to be held next month. The night features well know ABC identities Peter ‘Wilko’ Wilkins and John ‘Stinker’ Clarke. Charge is $20. Phone the Boorowa Recreation Club after 4pm on 6385 3224 to make your booking.
Harry’s Back
Popular young local musician Harry Cleverdon will perform at Take 5 on Friday in Young Library on June 22. Harry has a wide fan base and performs at many regional festivals and events. This is the second time that Harry has entertained the Take 5 audience. All welcome.
Celebrating Diversity
There will be a celebration of diversity at Young Town Hall on Friday June 29 with Hilltops: The GoodLife presented by the Hilltops Community Hub. Organisers promise food, pamper stalls, art displays and great coffee. More details on 6382 6328.
