The Goannas got off to a great start leading on the scoreboard 28-0 after 30 minutes.
From there, Burrangong got a run of possession and field position and capitalised off one opportunity, only slightly missing a second on the buzzer.
Grenfell came out again strong in the second half, scoring a further four tires to hit the lead at 52-6 with five minutes to go.
The last 10 minutes of both halves Burrangong had a run of possession and looked dangerous with the ball.
A first half try went to the hooker Brendon Robinson with a second try only just missed after a grubber missed the mark right on the stroke of half time.
Josh Fogg and Jeremy Martin barged over in the last five minutes of the second half to finish the game 52-16.
This weekend the Bears will face off against the Manildra Rhinos.
League Tag: The girls took on the Grenfell Girlannas last weekend where they took a hammering 34-0. The Bears put in a 50 minute effort after a second half injury to captain Mackeylee Delaney and the bench reduced to one reserve in horrid conditions making communication and making tags extremely difficult. The Bears tried their hardest in defence after three quick tries early in the first half to Grenfell, in the second half, slippery conditions played havoc for both teams with both teams having a poor second half completion rate.
Unfortunately for Burrangong, Grenfell were able to execute crucial plays which led to their tries.
