Under 18s premiers dominate make-up of representative outfit

A huge contingent of Cherrypickers juniors make-up one third of the Group 9 under 18s squad for the representative match against Group 20 on Sunday, September 22.

Selectors have homed in on the Group 9 premiers with six players receiving a call from the side that defeated South City Bulls 14-10 in the grand final last week.

Player of the Year and Cherrypickers fullback Nicolas Hall, centre Thomas Jenkins, halfback Jacob Lucas and promising forwards Edward Evans, Steven Anderson and William Hills all feature in the 18-player squad.

The rest of the team is made of players from Cootamundra, two each from Tumut and Albury, three from South City and four from Gundagai.

The Group 20 representative side will be made up of players from Group 20 clubs including Griffith clubs, Yanco-Wamoon, Darlington Point-Colleambally, Hay, Leeton, Tullibigeal-Lake Cargelligo, West Wyalong and Yenda.

The representative match will take place at Griffith.
