Prior to this the show was held on a Monday and Tuesday, going from three days to two, and now finally where we sit toady at the one-day show on a Sunday.

This year Young Pastoral and Agricultural Association have gone above and beyond to make the show a huge success.

President of the Young Pastoral and Agricultural Association, Samantha Reynolds, with the help of the association’s executive committee, has worked hard to put together a show the community is highly anticipating.

“It’s not something we’ve been working on in the last week, it takes months,” Sam said.

“We’ve been tirelessly working on it, as the executive committee, we talk daily at the moment and have been for probably a month or more trying to get it organised.

“So it’s really reassuring to see it get supported and ensures that we can put it on again next year and hopefully bigger and better,” Sam said.

Due to the newly limited time span, the show is able to produce a full, consistent day of entertainment.

“So there’s a bush band as well and a full day’s worth of entertainment on the entertainment stage, ranging from school kids to the Young town band,” Sam said.

The one-day show definitely delivers a busier day to the community of Young, however it can be difficult to organise for those behind the scenes.

“It does get hard to pack everything in. It ends up being quite a busy day,” Sam said

“There’s going to be something for everyone.”

The show definitely would not be possible without the hard working committee beneath, president Sam Reynolds said.

“I wouldn’t be able to do it without them, and we can’t do it without the community,” Sam said.

The fireworks display is one of the features that has definitely been improved with the one day format, with this year’s display expected to be larger, with entertainment on offer to the show-goers until 9pm.
