Sergeant Paul Colefax of Young Police said the response by the community this time around has not been as encouraging as 2017.

Just over 10 firearms have been surrendered at the Young Police Station, compared to more than 150 in 2017.
Firearms can be surrendered at licensed firearm dealers and police stations.
“We strongly encourage anyone with unwanted firearms or firearm related items to make the most of the amnesty before September 30,” Sergeant Paul Colefax of Young Police said.
