Sam Reynolds couldn’t thank the community enough for turning out and supporting the annual event.
“I can’t express my thanks to the community for coming out. We all do our best to make it as good as we can and with the support of the community we’ll try and make it just as good or bigger and better next year,” she said.
“I can’t thank the committee and community enough. Without them we would not be able to do it.”
While the weather on Saturday gave organisers a scare, Sam was happy with the how it panned out on Sunday.
“I put a lot of work into it and I get emotional when it pays off,” Sam said.
“The most satisfying thing was seeing the place so full. My mum called me to tell me people were lined up back past the bridge on the Boorowa Road. I was overwhelmed, it brought a tear to my eye.”
All feedback Sam had received from the community throughout the day was positive, however she encourages anyone to provide ideas or come on board to make it bigger and better in 2019.
“It’s hard to keep the crowd in when the sun goes down because it cools off really quickly but a lot of people come back for the fireworks.
“Considering the weather we had on Saturday, I was a bit worried, it turned out to be a good day.”
