Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack was invited as guest speaker at the event held in the church hall.
The church ladies catered for over 60 men who enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast, some renewing old acquaintances and others meeting people for the first time.
Going by the noise it was obviously a good occasion.

After breakfast, Member for Riverina and Leader of the National Party Michael McCormack held the audience enthralled as he spoke of the significance of Armistice Day 100 years ago and the hopes of the world for peace.
He reminded the audience of the importance of remembering people who fell not only in the Great War but also the Sudan and the Boer War before that and conflicts since then.
In answer to a related question about the Department of Veterans Affairs he remarked that there were around some 300,000 veterans for the department to care for.
He reminded us of the great sacrifices of families in our small villages and the terrible human toll the war took.
After his address there was a minutes silence in remembrance of those terrible times.
Mr McCormack took a variety of questions after his address providing quite detailed answers which were appreciated by the men.

“It was a privilege for St John’s to host this wonderful event. We especially appreciated Mr Mc Cormack giving up his valuable private time to give us such a wonderful address,” the Rector, Reverend Neil Percival said.
St John’s has been very fortunate to have had high profile and interesting speakers including Dr Paul Sevier and former Deputy Prime Minister Tim Fischer who spoke on his experience as Ambassador to the Holy See.
St John’s holds these breakfasts every six months, the next is scheduled for March 30 next year.
“We have invited the Police Commissioner or one of his deputies to be our guest speaker, we are confident there will be a great roll up on that occasion too,” said the Rector.
