I was happy to receive news that we were successful in being awarded a grant from the Heritage Near Me fund for the revitalisation of Carrington Park. Council is hosting a project workshop on October 8 from 4-6pm at the Young Office to discuss the restoration of the Band Rotunda and White Monument in the Park. All are welcome and invited to attend to have their say on the restoration.

I enjoyed speaking at the Boorowa Business Chamber last week and thank the chamber for inviting me to be their guest speaker. I am back in Boorowa for another speaking gig next week, this time for the Probus Club which I am looking forward to. I also attended a graduation mass and presentation at Hennessy College last week. It is great to see another group of young adults ready to start the next phase of their lives and I look forward to seeing them achieve great things.
I would like to congratulate everyone involved in the 2018 Boorowa Irish Woolfest over the weekend. Unfortunately, illness prevented me from attending the event as planned but from all accounts I have heard it was a great success. Special thanks to Member for Goulburn Pru Goward and Eamonn Robinson, Deputy Head of Mission, The Embassy of Ireland in Canberra.
