Staff and students said a bittersweet goodbye to geography teacher Mrs Armstrong and science teacher Mr Dodd at the end of term three. Mrs Armstrong has been an integral member of the Social Science faculty for nearly 20 years.
“Her wealth of teaching experience, subject matter expertise, WHS contributions and amazing cooking talents will be greatly missed by all,” principal Keith Duran said.
Mr Dodd has been the Head Teacher of the Science/Agriculture faculty for over 10 years.
“We will all miss his expertise in everything scientific, patience and willingness to always help those in need,” Mr Duran said.
All staff and students of Young High school would like to wish the absolute best to both of the former High school teachers.
Mrs Armstrong is setting out on a new endeavor at a different school and location and Mr Dodd has gracefully gone into retirement after a long career in education.
