Janice Ward, president of Young Hospital Auxiliary, is proud and delighted that the Auxiliary are purchasing the Sonosite Ultrasound for the emergency department.
“This is a state of the art diagnostic tool with a large price-tag of over $45,000, and I am so grateful that Young is such a supportive and generous community,” she said.

The Auxiliary members have worked tirelessly to raise money by holding various stalls and raffles, and the recent highly successful Soup Day. She asks that the community continue support.
“So please, everyone continue to support the Hospital Auxiliary, so we can ensure that Young Hospital has the best possible equipment.”
The Auxiliary are now planning a High Tea with musical entertainment kindly supplied by Young Regional School of Music.
The High Tea will be held from 2pm on Saturday, November 3 at St John’s Anglican Hall, with all proceeds going towards the purchase of the ultrasound.

Tickets are $20 each and these can be purchased at the door, or book a table by ringing 63826770.
There will be a Lucky Door prize. The Auxiliary is also selling raffle tickets for a beautiful spring-themed patchwork quilt and other generously donated prizes.
Tickets can be purchased at our raffle selling days on Wednesday 17th and Friday, October 26 at IGA, by contacting Auxiliary members, or at the High Tea prior to the raffle winners being drawn.
Contributions can also be made direct to the Young Hospital Auxiliary, and these are tax-deductible.
New members are very welcome, and will find this very enjoyable and rewarding. The committee meets on the first Thursday of the month at 10.30am in the hospital meeting room. “So please consider joining us,” Janice said.
