It was great to see some rainfall in the region last week. Let’s hope it is followed by some more in the coming weeks.

The Harden Kite Festival is being held this Saturday. This festival is always a great day out for the family and I especially encourage those residents who have never been before to go and have a look.
There are free kid’s activities, entertainment and all-day kite flying. October is Small Business Month and Hilltops Council is participating by hosting Entrepreneurial Leadership Workshops in Boorowa, Harden and Young.
The workshops are free to attend and will be presented by Stephen Rutter of the Scale Institute. Stephen has over 20 years’ experience in global business environments spanning logistics, entertainment and education management.
Council is very pleased to bring this business development opportunity to the Hilltops and hopes business will support the event and spread the word to others who may be interested.
- Boorowa: Tuesday, October 23 6-8pm
- Harden: Wednesday, October 24 6-8pm
- Young: Thursday, October 25 6-8pm
You can register online by visiting https://bit.ly/2ypTJov or by contacting any of the Hilltops Council offices.

Council hosted a project workshop on Monday to discuss the restoration of the Band Rotunda and White Monument in Carrington Park. We now ask members of the community who have any historical photos of the Rotunda to send them to mail@hilltops.nsw.gov.au or present them at the Hilltops Council Office in Young where a copy can be made. These historical images will be used to help inform the restoration.
Heavy patching of roads in the region is due to commence next week. I ask that everyone observe speed limits and be patient with our crews who are working hard to ensure our roads are at in the best condition possible for motorists.
