Young Police have put a dent in the supply of illicit drugs in town after seizing drugs and cash at homes during the past fortnight.

Four people have been arrested as a result, including one 24-year-old woman who has been charged with supply and possessing equipment for prohibiting illicit drugs.
On Friday, September 28 police searched a home on Currawong Street about 10am where they located an amount of cannabis, resealable bags, scales, equipment to administer drugs, mobile phones, an iPad and cash.

A 24-year-old female was charged with supply prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug, goods in custody suspected stolen or unlawfully obtained and possessing equipment for administering prohibited drugs.
She was granted conditional bail to appear at Young Local Court on Tuesday, November 6.
A 28-year-old man at the scene was charged with possession. He’ll appear at court on November 20.
A 27-year-old female who arrived in a vehicle at the residence during the search was charged for possessing equipment for administering prohibited drugs and will face the charge at court at a later date.

On Thursday, October 4 police searched a Russel Street home and located cannabis, scales, cannabis seeds and equipment to administer illegal drugs.
A 31-year-old male was charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited drug, and possessing equipment for administering prohibited drugs.
He will appear at Young Local Court on December 4.
“Officers attached to Young Detectives and Crime Prevention Unit attended two premises in Young where search warrants were executed in relation to alleged unlawful activities,” Acting Inspector Michael Madgwick explained.
“During the first search warrant police located an amount of cannabis, resealable bags, scales, equipment to administer drugs, mobile phones, iPad and cash.
“During the second search warrant police located an amount of cannabis, scales, cannabis seeds and equipment to administer illegal drugs.”
