Ivy Hch’s landscape shot of children and an adult flying kites was judged the best photo entered on the event’s Facebook page.
More than 50 photos were uploaded by festival goers.

“[The winning photo] captured the spirit of the day and the Harden community. It's dry and dusty, but everyone is looking up. Families, kites and fun,” judges said in announcing the winner on the Harden Kite Festival Facebook page.
An unprecedented crowd of more than 8000 people, more than double last year’s count, saw the first ever traffic jam in Harden with cars backed up in both directions on Burley Griffin Way.
The exact count crowd figure was 8132 with visitors travelling from Woolongong, Melbourne, Bathurst, Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Canberra.

More than 25 big kite enthusiasts from NSW and Victoria, with most staying at St Clements in Galong for the event, with many others travelling to Harden for the day.
“There were hundreds of kites in the sky at any one time with lots of smiling faces. Market stall holders enjoyed the large crowds,” Harden Kite Festival organiser Julie Dunstan said.
“Entertainment was fantastic and well received by attendees and included Bollywood, Indigenous and Mexican.”
Ivy won $100 for winning best photo.
