Druitt led from gate three in the Southcon Pty Ltd Pace (2100m) and Kamwood Izzy showed great strength down the back straight to hold off a late charge from Itsallaboutlu (Amy Hedges).
The winning mile rate was 2.01.0s.
It was Kamwood Izzy’s ninth win in career start 55.
The horse is based near Wagga and is trained by David Druitt.
