Racing opened with the first favourite of the day getting patrons off to a flying start with the Bernie Hewitt trained IM OK ($2.90) driven by Mat Rue scoring a narrow ½ head victory over Layby Lanny and Rock All Night.
The mile rating of 2.01.0 set the stage for a fast programme of racing and gave the winner his second winner in his career.
Amanda Turnbull pushed the button in race two with the short priced pole marker Posh Accent ($1.60), leading throughout to record a ½ neck victory over Promise To Rock and the locally trained Stylish Grin for trainer Todd Day and stable driver Michael Day Jr. Three sub 30sec quarters resulted in a mile rating of 2.00.3 for the 1720 journey with the three year old filly recording her first win.
Goulburn mentor Amy Day kept the flag flying for the ladies with a dashing display behind Rock The Party ($15.00) in race three. Making a long and sustaining run from fifth at the bell, the Rocknroll Hanover five year old can now boast a win in her very short five start career in defeating Write About Her and Up All Night.
Spring Hill training duo of Anthony and Kelvin Winnell continue to travel and support meetings at numerous centres throughout the state and their patience was rewarded when Curls Joey ($3.70) produced his best form in race four to defeat Doctor Somes and favourite Roarn Under Fire ($2.20).

The run from the bell was taken as a third quarter of 30.3 was posted and the run home in 29.9 giving the five year old a 2 ½ meter advantage over his rivals. Forbes trainer Adam Bellach entrusted the driving duties to Angela Hedges in race five behind his five year old mare Carlas Angel ($4.80) and the result went exactly to plan with the winner defeating the more fancied Camelot Speedstar ($3.70) and Lucky To Make it for Nathan Hurst.
With a mile rating of 1.57.8 and an advantage over the minor placegetters of 9 ½ meters, the win certainly brought great joy to her owners.
Shelley Evans and Scott Hewitt produced the surprise run of the day when the nine-year-old veteran of 100 starts Silk Banyula flashed home to defeat Morior Invictus ($34) and Ideal Billy ($9.50) in a thrilling finish. A two meter margin and a mile rating of 2.00.6 was certainly a welcome result for the proud Canberra owners.
Junee trainer Trevor White has a keen eye when it comes to a competent young driver and his decision to entrust Miranda McLachlin with the drive behind Shes Courageous ($3.30) was certainly proven spot on when she led for the majority of the 1720 metre event in defeating Harley James and Digger Shed in race seven by a convincing 12 ¼ meter margin.

The mile rating of 1.58.8 was again indicative of the excellent track surface that had been prepared by the ground staff, something that is appreciated by all concerned. Brucedale combination of David and Ross Druitt continue to find a winner and Kamwood Izzy, ($8.00) like most his other stable stars, gave them a well deserved win in race eight, leading throughout over the 2100 metre course.
The mile rating of 2.01.0 was a creditable performance for the winner now of eight races. Race nine had all the action with McKayler Barnes out driving the boys with Lorenzo Shannon ($5.50) defeating the more fancied Hey Susie ($2.60) with a two meter advantage over his rivals and a mile rating of 2.00.8.
It certainly was a satisfying sight to see so many stay for the final race of the ten race programme, they were treated to an exhibition from the Bernie Hewitt trained and driven Taylors Reason ($2.80).
