It was the first of its kind in the state with students coordinating the entire production from play practices to hospitality and publicity.
The production was made possible thanks to the Young High School receiving one of only seven $20,000 grant from the NSW Department of Education, Rural and Remote Office and Senior Pathways Office to improve Career Education from Kindergarten to Year 12 and help create a smooth transition from Year 6 to Year 7.

Schools involved included Maimuru, Monteagle, Murringo, Wombat, Young Public, Young North and Young High School.
Young High School careers advisor Kaity Conn heaped praise on all the students involved.
“It was about learning employability skills and career education. It’s good to get the parents talking about career education, and positively discussing future employment with their kids," Ms Conn said.
“[the production] was also designed to combat rates of depression in rural areas and improve mental wellbeing by creating positive discussions surrounding skills development and future employment."
The production itself went for more than hour, however students were preparing since term one this year.

It included a range of music, drama and careful choreography.
“The kids have worked on every single step, taught primary school students, managed budgets, designed lighting, connected sound, set up stage, made posters,” Ms Conn said.
“The kids not only learnt about careers from the content of the play but the roles they completed. It was a really positive experience for everyone involved.”
Ms Conn said organisers are seeking feedback from people who attended the show.
A decision will then be made on whether a similar production will be staged in the future.
