The ladies at the Young Golf Club played a 4BBB event on Saturday November 3 with the event trophies sponsored by Hamblin’s Amcal Pharmacy. The event was a tightly fought competition but Wendy Tuckerman and Larraine Nicolls proved worthy winners with a score of 44pts. Pharmacist and avid golfer David Hamblin was on hand to present the trophies and we thank him for his continued support.

Presentation lunch: On Sunday November 4 the Young Ladies Golf Club held its annual presentation luncheon. We welcomed past lady golfers Nancy McGregor, Judy Heskyth, Tilla Davidson and Jill Rolfe along with Life Member Lesley Watson. A delicious lunch was provided and some lovely entertainment on the piano by Pammie McCloys granddaughter Sarah. A thank you to Sarah we certainly enjoyed listening to your musical capabilities. The Presentations for the year were made to the winning recipients, with a couple of outstanding recipients namely Noela Hardman,Suzy Manning and Larraine Nicolls to name a few. All said a most enjoyable afternoon of camaraderie was shared.
Ladies travel for a great event: Over the weekend of October 26 to 28 Young players Joan Coddington, Helen Smith and Noela Hardman travelled to Batemans Bay and played a three day event at Catalina Golf Club. Noela Hardman scored a Trifecta playing with one of the local women in A Canadian Foursomes on October 26 they combined to win with 39 points. Saturday Noela continued her great form posting 35 points to win that day’s event. Noela capped off the weekend by winning again on Sunday with 39 points making her the all round winner in B Grade and collecting a few trophies to bring home. Congratulations Noela.
Ladies summer competition: Ladies we will continue our golf with the Summer Competition. It is easier to make arrangements with each other or put your name down on the sheet in the Pro-shop.
