This years theme is “It’s All About The Cherries” with all floats encouraged to make sure they feature cherries in their design. There will be some amazing decorations in the procession with everyone from the Fire Department and NSW Police through to local businesses, schools and other community groups taking part in the parade.
The street parade itself will be emceed by 2LF presenter Neil Langford, who will rev up the crowd and let everyone know what is happening. Approximately 8000 people are expected to line the streets for the family friendly event with everyone encouraged to come and support the wonderful efforts of the entrants in the parade, and celebrate the Cherry Festival.
The Woolworths National Cherry Festival Street Parade will start at 4.00pm to 5.00pm, after which there will be the Cherry Queen Coronation Ceremony, Massed Pipes and Drums Spectacular, and at 7.15pm the Street Parade winners will be announced.
