With prize money, trophies and bragging rights on offer for each category, car show organiser Rodney Eades, said that it promises to be a fantastic family event. “We are really looking forward to the show. There will be free giveaways, a sausage sizzle from the local fire department, and the police will have their show car on site, so there is something for everyone,” he said. While the judges are still yet to be decided Rodney said the focus will be on a good overall vehicle. “We won’t be getting too extravagant,” he said. “We are just looking for cleanliness, appearance and solid paint work”.
Rodney said they expected vehicles from all over with the Griffith Car Club alone bringing 15 pre-World War II cars. “They have some beautiful vehicles, but there are also a lot of nice cars around locally so hopefully people are happy to show them”. The AutoPro Car Show will be held at the AutoPro store on Saturday, December 1, from 8am to 3.30pm. Entry is just $10 with all entry fees are going to the Salvation Army.
