Essential Energy Acting Regional Manager Southern Zone, Mathew Rogers, said “regular maintenance is necessary to secure a safe and reliable power supply”.
“Essential Energy’s top priority is always the safety of the public and our employees. Electricity network maintenance and upgrade work is planned in advance to try and minimise the impact on local residents and businesses, however regular maintenance is necessary to secure a safe and reliable power supply,” Acting Regional Manager Southern, Mathew Rogers.

“While we appreciate that any interruption to the power supply can be inconvenient for customers, our preference is to have planned controlled outage for important network maintenance rather than a unplanned outage.
“Essential Energy provides advanced notice to customers affected by a planned power outage so they are able to make alternate arrangements.”

Areas: Parts of Chums Lane, Little Moppity Road, Hintons Road and Hintons Lane
Nature of work: Maintenance - Replacing cross arms

Areas: Parts of Batnichs Road and Commons Road
Nature of work: Maintenance - Replacing low voltage poles and crossarms
