The first of a series of planned power outages in Young this month will take place on Tuesday morning.
Essential Energy Acting Regional Manager Southern Zone, Mathew Rogers, said “regular maintenance is necessary to secure a safe and reliable power supply”.
“Essential Energy’s top priority is always the safety of the public and our employees. Electricity network maintenance and upgrade work is planned in advance to try and minimise the impact on local residents and businesses, however regular maintenance is necessary to secure a safe and reliable power supply,” Acting Regional Manager Southern, Mathew Rogers.

“While we appreciate that any interruption to the power supply can be inconvenient for customers, our preference is to have planned controlled outage for important network maintenance rather than a unplanned outage.
